Happiness

Put things into perspective………how bad is it really?

Life is only as bad as we perceive it to be.

When in darkness, be grateful for any sources of light.

I’m desperate to be happy….. I wouldn’t want to be one of the other dwarves.

Just as we feed our stomachs (with food), we feed our minds (with thought). In other words, “food for thought”. [Although this is an unlikely origin of the phrase]. Just as we need 5 a day (vegetables) for a healthy diet, we need 5 a day (positive thoughts for a healthy and happy mind). Sadly, we tend to fill our mind with negative thoughts, the culinary equivalent of junk food.

If you’re able to moan, then you’re both alive and able to communicate- which is more than some people have; thus, stop moaning.

If you go around with your eyes shut you’ll always be oblivious to the great things in your life.

If you don’t give yourself time to think, you’ll become thoughtless.

Happiness is being able to laugh more than you cry.

If you’re not happy with something, then change it. If it transpires that you cannot change it, then look for the positives in it, and learn to be happy with it (or at least learn to live with it).

Nothing’s perfect- be content wherever the positives outweigh the negatives.

If you focus on the negatives, your view on life won’t be very positive. Conversely, if you concentrate on the positives, your life will seem far from negative.

People focus so much on the negatives that they completely forget about the positives.
